Methocarbamol is not FDA-approved for back pain, but providers will often prescribe it for this as well as other types of pain.
This is considered an “off-label” use of methocarbamol. It might work for you if your back pain is caused by muscle spasms.
If your pain is dull and achy or feels like pins and needles, it might not help much.
